The KLiverHub® Digital Center for Hepatobiliary Diseases in Pediatrics® is conceived as a result of the extensive academic training, scientific knowledge and experience of more than 35 years in the practice of medicine and more than 25 years in the care of pediatric patients with liver diseases. and the bile ducts, by our creator, Dr. Alfredo Santamaría Escobar, surgeon at the Universidad del Norte de Barranquilla, specialist in Pediatrics at the J.P.Garrahan Hospital in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina; with a Fellowship in clinical and transplant Pediatric Hepatology from the same hospital; pioneer in Colombia in the area and who has participated and/or coordinated the pediatric clinical area of renowned centers for hepatobiliary diseases and pediatric liver transplantation in the country.
Knowledge of our health system, its benefits and weaknesses, motivates us to create our platform with features that allow us to shorten the distance.cies and times in access to care for these patients, who do not require a liver transplant.
These characteristics are: opportunity in the outpatient part, using digital technology,the connectivity of the metaverse that allows communication and facilitates self-management by patients' families. Furthermore, our geographical location, in the city of Medellín, Colombia; leader in Latin America in advances in medicine, technology, means of transportation and communication.
To do this we will have the human talent and technological tools that modern medicine allows us.
